The holiday season is upon us and there is no shortage of upcoming events. In fact, if you’re looking for activities to do on Thanksgiving weekend there are a few options for you. If not, look a bit ahead as there’s many festive events sprinkled about in the month of December.
Venice Holiday Parade
The Venice Holiday Parade is being hosted in Downtown Venice Florida on Saturday, November 30th. There will be pre-parade entertainment starting at 5:30pm and the official parade beginning at 7pm. The route begins at the corner of Park Boulevard and West Venice Avenue. Then will proceed on towards the North side of West Venice Avenue crossing over Harbor Boulevard. From there, the parade will make a right turn at Nokomis Avenue and go all the way down to Turin Street where it will make another right turn making its way to the Venice Community Center where the parade ends. Venice Christmas Walk
Tis’ the season for discounts and a fantastic night out with the family! Head over to Downtown Venice on Thursday, December 5th to stroll along the avenues of Mainstreet Venice to shop and enjoy some classic entertainment. Catch Santa and Mrs. Claus stationed at Coldwell Banker on Venice Avenue greeting visitors and handing out special treats. And when you’re done shopping and greeting Mr. and Mrs. Claus head on over to the Venice Avenue Creamery to listen to the Bluegrass band Swinging Bridge, Sirene Coastal Interiors for saxophonist Eirinn Abu, Venice Wine & Coffee Company for Coastal Keys, Mother’s Cupboard Spice Shoppe for Wanda.
